A Pointless Saturation

The Steam Summer Sale passed me by this year.

I feel a bit like I did something wrong, because emperically, I did miss an opportunity to espouse my opinion to people who might want to hear about it on the topic of videogames that were cheaper than normal. I do like to make short ads for games and feel like there’s some follow through.

The problem is that I’m one discoverability vector, and whenever I’m feeling voiceless or pointless (always, basically) I run into this emotional wall where I realise I’m just another shouting voice in a massive wall of voices. It’s a bit weird – because I enjoy the challenge, but then I feel as if my tweets are annoying to my readers, and there’s no place or time to do timely, short-term offers on the podcast.

Plus, Steam have this faintly creepy air these days?

It’s… weird to me. I feel like I’ve basically hit this point of saturation on two ends: one, Steam is saturated, so there’s no point trying to help people navigate that, and I’m saturated with a feeling of ennui for advertising.

Oh well, I’ll fix it somehow.
