Ten Things I Want Me Of The Past To Know About MTG Arena

I’ve started playing Magic: The Gathering Arena. It’s something I told myself I didn’t want to do, and did resist doing under its own power early on in its life. All sorts of arguments about free to play, about rebuilding my collection, about how hard it would be for the decks I like to play being playable, all those things just built up over time and then they were wiped away.

‘Cos a family member said ‘can we play for free on my phone.’

And yeah, we can. And so I went home and I made myself a MTGA account and I got started and now I get to play one of my favourite kinds of Magic: The Gathering, which is ‘stuff I own on a kitchen table.’ But doing so involved learning a lot of things about Arena, and a lot of those things weren’t made really clear in just the process of playing the game.

Here, then, is a missive, a list of ten things for Talen Lee Before He Started MtGee Arena, shared for your edification over some gameplay footage, I guess. Stuff that comes up after ‘you can play magic: the gathering on your phone on the toilet, now.’

And that’s my list of suggestions and recommendations for me, Talen Lee, for a few months ago. It’s a good approach I feel to handling Magic: The Gathering Arena and a lot of tips I wish I’d learned early on.
