In the stats of the year’s posts I find one of them sticking out to me.

Do You Dislike Your Voice was one of the only things I wrote in 2014 that was shared on tumblr. It didn’t get any responses, but it did get a lot of attention.

I am circling around the idea that for certain kinds of work, tumblr as an attention engine is a remarkably powerful tool. I am not sure how I feel about this. I don’t want to, as it were, dive wholeheartedly into Tumblr – it’s a place that’ll eat all your time if you want to, and it can get very insular – but it’s a way to amplify attention to your projects.

Consider this, my friends who make things. Twitter is pretty good. Tumblr seems even better.
